So you've found the perfect piece of (v. reasonably priced) jewellery that will make you look glorious at that thing you’re so looking forward to. Now comes the time to hand over your details.

How secure is your financial information?
PayPal & Stripe (our credit card payment gateway) help protect your credit card information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems.

When you use PayPal or Stripe, your financial information is never shared with the merchant (that’s us!). The only info we receive from them is what we need to fulfil your order (item info, your name, shipping address, email and contact phone number). So our site could be attacked by a whole host of sartorially astute hackers and your financial information and personal data is safe because your data is submitted directly to them, not The Adorn Collective. For more info, take a squizz at Paypal's privacy policy here and Stripe's privacy policy here.

Why do we use Skype and not a landline?
The last time any of us had a landline, Taylor Swift was an embryo. We did briefly have our mobile phone numbers on the site but we started being spammed with international sales calls at all hours. So now we have a Skype number. You can instant message us for real time chat, whenever you like. You could even arrange to Skype us face to face, though you might have to chat to us in our pyjamas.

What do we do with your personal data?
Your privacy is important to us. We will NEVER sell ANY of your personal data to 3rd parties. And we don’t have a big marketing budget so repeat custom is our bread and butter. Irritating our customers is the exact opposite of what we want to do. So whilst we’ll add you to our email list (unless you specify otherwise) we’ll keep the communication to a minimum, try to make it interesting and relevant and provide the option of one click unsubscription at the bottom of every newsletter. For more information, visit our privacy policy

If (or rather, when!) we get bigger we may choose to employ strategic partners such as research agencies. We may pass some of your data (mainly the stuff we collect from Google Analytics like age, gender and location - none of which can be linked back to you specifically) on. Remember that we never see your financial data as Paypal does not pass it on. If we are ever to pass on the limited data we have access to, any strategic partners will be subject to strict confidentially agreements. If they were to pass on any of your data, they'd be in violation of their contract to us and not only would it destroy their credibility, they'd be breaking the law.
